In the original Slow Lovin model the movement is powered by pressing down on the purple button at the front of the box. The whole point of the model is that the movement needs to be slow… languid so a direct drive really wasn’t up to the job. Since I originally made the model I’ve learned a lot about designing paper gears so I thought it was time to revisit the design.
Shown here is a late stage prototype with the parts layout completed. Next step is to produce a coloured version then it will go live on the site.
